The person in charge of training assistants was not happy and there were some emails back and forth. Bottom line, though, is that I am now an Ass't Mission Leader and have also been placed in the French team as well to receive French calls.

So you are going to have to do more to help explain what the diff is between the two positions.
Are you sure you are ready to take on French on top of everything else?
